My name is Samia Noor, and I am a class of 2021 Baldwin Scholar. I was raised in Southern California and currently based in New York City.

While at Duke, I majored in Public Policy and got a certificate in Documentary Studies. On campus I was involved in Student Government, Juris Undergraduate Law Review, POLIS Center for Politics and Women in Politics.

Outside of classes and clubs, I worked with several nonprofits in the NC area, the Pauli Murray Center, Partnership for Appalachian Girls Education, WomenNC, and Lead for America. I also enjoy cooking, kick-boxing, and spending time with my lovely cat Margarita (who I adopted when I was a senior in college, which was also during the COVID-19 pandemic).

Being a Baldwin Scholar was an invaluable part of my undergraduate career at Duke and I’m grateful for the lessons learned, friendships, and experiences from the program.
