I was raised outside of Boston, MA and matriculated at my dream school - Duke - in 2004. While at Duke, I was a walk-on turned scholarship player on the women's lacrosse team and was deeply involved in tutoring and service-learning in the Durham public schools. I was also incredibly lucky to join the powerful network and support system of the Baldwin Scholars. After graduating with a History degree, I taught elementary school in New Orleans, attended University of Pennsylvania Law School (graduated 2015) and practiced real estate law in Boston, followed my heart and returned to teaching at a Boston charter school, and then found my way to my current position practicing affordable housing and community development law.
