I cannot begin to imagine my Duke experience without the Baldwin Scholars. I have formed amazing relationships with these truly inspirational women and I consider myself very fortunate to have had this opportunity. The program really encouraged us to think outside the box and to maintain an open mind regarding our contributions to society and the world around us. During my time at Duke I majored in French and European Studies, minored in Art History, and followed the Pre-Med track. This combined with the many opportunities of the Baldwin Scholars Program really helped to diversify my experience while I discovered and pursued new passions. My first year out of Duke I worked for a clothing designer and filled my hunger for fashion, which was a wonderful experience. I currently live in Venice, CA where I just completed a stage of sorts at a local restaurant, Gjelina, working primarily in desserts and pastries. My love for food and all things culinary really began to take shape during my time abroad in Paris. I am currently pursuing my passion for food and my love for natural medicine and hope to eventually fuse the two into a practice naturopathic medicine involving the healing people through food. In my free time I like to cook, listen to records, read, and garden.
