Hi! My name is Liz. I'm from Aiken, South Carolina. After graduating from Duke with a BA in Psychology, I completed my masters in clinical psychology at Columbia University and my PhD in clinical psychology from Duke University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship (clinical psychology “residency”) at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital and my postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX. I am currently a pediatric psychologist at Texas Children’s Hospital. I work within the Adolescent Medicine Department serving youth ages 10-21 with eating, mood and anxiety disorders.

Clinically, I am interested in pediatric psychology, especially high-risk health behaviors. My research interests are in adolescent development, particularly the mechanisms of risky decision making, health risk behaviors, and mental health screening in primary care and specialty care clinics.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about Duke, the Baldwin Scholar Program, or any interest in clinical psychology.
