Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
Last Great Book I Read: I am an avid reader. The last great book I read was Still LIfe, by Sarah Winman. It’s a beautiful novel initially set in Italy during World War II, but it’s about the passage of time and what makes a life, and it’s just lovely.
Favorite Movie: Fantastic Mr. Fox and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Also Bridesmaids. I think I’ve seen that move upwards of 10 times. I still crack up every time.
Family: husband, a four-year-old kiddo, two stepchildren, and Christopher the cat.
Hobbies: reading, writing, visiting area playgrounds.
Favorite Vacation Spot: I love going to the beach in North Carolina (if you’ve never been, you’re missing out!). If I’m going to travel internationally, take me back to Spain, please! And I’m hoping to go to Chile soon to visit friends!
Person I admire: I admire all of my students who have navigated being a student and applying to college during the pandemic. It’s so not easy.
