In 2008, I graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in education. Though originally from Houston, Texas, I spent the first ten years of my life post-Duke teaching in Brooklyn, New York; Valencia, Venezuela; and Jakarta, Indonesia. I returned to the States after deciding to leave the teaching profession and am currently pursuing a graduate degree in sociology.
