Hannah Miao

Hi! My name is Hannah and I’m a Baldwin Scholar in the class of 2021. 

I was born and raised in the greater Cleveland area.

At Duke, I majored in public policy and minored in theater studies. I also took lots of classes in gender studies, global health and journalism.

During college, I lived in Cusco, Peru, for two months through DukeEngage and studied in New York for a semester through the Duke in New York program.

Outside of class, I spent most of my time in rehearsals for Hoof ‘n’ Horn, Rhythm & Blue and Momentum Dance Company.

I’m now a markets reporter for CNBC based in New York.
