Hi! My name is Emily Pinnes and I am part of the Class of 2015 Baldwin Scholars. At Duke, I studied Psychology with minors in Economics and French. Thanks to Baldwin, I was able to explore my interest in international business development through an internship with a tea company in Ecuador after my freshman year. This inspired me to pursue additional international experiences during my time at Duke: DukeEngage in Jodhpur, India (microfinance), Duke in France, and Duke TIP in China.  Since graduating, I have been doing management consulting, with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotech companies. I'm passionate about health and wellness, and enjoy teaching yoga and dancing in my free time.

Applying to the Baldwin Scholars Program was the best decision I made at Duke. I am grateful to be continuously inspired, challenged, and supported by so many incredible women. I have experienced the power of the Baldwin community far beyond my time as an undergraduate.  Baldwin has broadened my horizons and fostered life-long friendships. It has helped me to grow in ways I did not know possible, and I’m excited to see the Baldwin community continue to expand and flourish.
