Hi! My name is Ana Pujol, and I am so thrilled to be part of the 2028 Baldwin cohort!

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and spent my childhood in Bogotá, Colombia, before moving to Miami, Florida at the age of 10. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have lived in such diverse places, as each experience has enriched my life and taught me invaluable lessons. From a young age, my parents nurtured a deep love for art and creativity, which has inspired me to explore a wide range of artistic expressions throughout my life, including dance, journalism, photography, videography, and beyond. I attended a performing arts high school, where I studied dance for four years while also delving into digital media creation, producing photos and videos for various local organizations.

While I have not yet fully decided on my specific academic path at Duke, I am deeply interested in exploring the intersection of psychology, child development, and media. I am curious to understand how media influences the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and how psychological principles can be applied to create healthier, more impactful media experiences for young audiences. Outside of academics at Duke, I am proud to be a member of Momentum Dance Company, an all-girl, all-style dance group, and Creator Lab, a community of creators, influencers, and entrepreneurs harnessing the power of social media at school. Additionally, I absolutely adore my on-campus job as a creative video intern for Duke Athletics (Blue Devil Network).

When I have free time, I love to read, cook, take Pilates and Yoga classes, explore Durham (especially its culinary scene!), and make crafts. I also love spending time with the amazing people I have met thus far at Duke and studying at Bella Union. I am so ecstatic to see what the future has in store and to continue exploring everything that Duke has to offer. Above all, I am deeply honored to be a Baldwin Scholar, and I take great pride in contributing to the legacy that so many inspiring Baldwin Scholars before us have built. Go Blue Devils!
