I came to Duke from the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA. While at Duke, I majored in English and was a member of Lady Blue (a cappella group) and the Executive Board of the Panhellenic Association. I also tutored in Durham public schools and as an Undergraduate Writing Tutor for Duke. During my summers, I participated in the Duke-Durham Scholars Program, studied abroad at Oxford, and interned for Global Concepts, a subsidiary of McKinsey. After graduation, I worked as a Human Capital Analyst for Deloitte Consulting 2008-2010. I earned a master’s degree (2013) and PhD (2017) in sociology at Stanford University. After earning my PhD, I worked as a Research Associate and Senior Research Scholar with the Stanford VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab. My research examined strategic organizational culture change designed to achieve greater belonging and inclusion in industries such as technology, management consulting, and academic medicine. I also worked as a consultant with Exponential Talent LLC, Forshay Inc., and Illuceo Inc. I am currently the Director of Belonging at The Lovett School in Atlanta, GA.
