I grew up in Baltimore, where I attended Roland Park Country School before coming to Duke. I am an only child, and am very close to my parents, who encourage me in all my endeavors at Duke and are especially proud that I am a Baldwin Scholar.
Besides working on a double major in Economics and Philosophy, I am involved in several activities at Duke. I joined a fantastic women's a cappella group, Deja Blue, and we can be heard singing all over campus. I am a member of Pi Beta Phi, and have met many beautiful and talented girls through my sorority. I am also in Duke Venture Forward, an organization for students who are interested in business, entrepreneurship, and finance.
When I'm not doing any of those things, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, going to yoga classes, and spending time with the warm and intelligent people I have met here.
I would encourage any girls checking out this website to make a network for themselves at Duke. Join groups and clubs and extend yourself beyond your hall. Even if you decide not to apply to the Baldwin Scholars Program, recognize the impact that you can make on campus and take pride in what you do here.
