Honored Alumnae

The Baldwin Scholars program has given special recognition to two types of Duke alumnae — "Pioneers at Duke" and "Heroines at Duke."

• Pioneers at Duke are those extraordinary Duke alumnae who are changing the world. Each year, the Baldwin Scholars program adds a handful of inductees to this prestigious list.
• Heroines at Duke are women who received the annual Unsung Heroine Award, given from 2008-2018. This award recognized someone who demonstrated extraordinary dedication to issues that face women at Duke or in the larger community, but whose efforts had not previously received formal recognition.
