Duke University | Baldwin Scholars Program

Alison Wynn

I came to Duke from the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA. As an English major, I took a variety of courses and especially enjoyed studying Shakespeare, gender, psychology, education, and linguistics. I was a member of Lady Blue (an all female a cappella group) all 4 years at Duke and became Music Director my senior year. I served on the Executive Board of the Panhellenic Association for two years, and I joined the Order of Omega my junior year. I tutored in Durham public schools and as an Undergraduate Writing Tutor for Duke. I was also a member of the Network for Future Executives. During my summers, I participated in the Duke-Durham Scholars Program, studied abroad at Oxford, and interned for Global Concepts, a subsidiary of McKinsey. As a junior, I was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, I became a Human Capital Analyst for Deloitte Consulting.  I am currently working on my PhD in sociology at Stanford.

I greatly enjoyed my years as a Baldwin Scholar. I've met so many inspiring women with diverse backgrounds, talents, and goals.  The women in this program have taught, supported, motivated, and empowered me. To alums--I wish you all the best in your new "adult" lives, and to the current Baldwins--enjoy it while you can!
