I am proud to be a part of the inaugural class of Baldwin scholars. I graduated with some of the most talented, ambitious and inspiring Duke women who are only beginning to make their respective marks on the world.
Shortly after graduating Duke in the Spring of 2008 I began working at Citigroup Global Markets in New York City. I am part of a 2-year Corporate Banking Analyst Program. My experience this year has been quite a rollercoaster ride given the turmoil in the financial markets. After the two-year program ends I am open to the possibilities that await. While I have strong interests in non-profit consulting and human resource management I am also interested in traveling, volunteering abroad and writing about my 2 years on Wall Street.
Much like Duke, New York is a place of dreams and unbridled opportunity. My idealism remains unscathed from the moment I stepped foot on Duke's campus and I am determined to change the world for the better. I would encourage every Baldwin scholar and Duke student to stop focusing on what they think they should do and go boldly in the direction of their dreams.
