Bom Dia! My name is Andrea and I am originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Miami, FL. I graduated from Duke undergraduate in 2008 and I double majored in International Comparative Studies and Political Science and minored in Women's Studies. I decided to just walk across Towerview for graduate school and so I enrolled at Duke Law that same year. Although I am usually caught up with my legal studies (I am interested in Urban Development and City Management) I always find time to catch up with the new, younger Baldwins or with my older, Baldwin friends. In fact, the Baldwin network is what I most value from my undergraduate experience at Duke. The other day, during my infamously boring Torts class, I g-chatted with Rachel (a Fulbright teaching English in Indonesia) and Claire (on a fellowship studying African-something-important in Holland). We were in three completely different locations, pursuing different goals, yet we found time to get together and share stories. Surprisingly, or not, we found that we faced similar obstacles, which we later attributed to symptoms of a "quater-life crisis." Growing up, being a graduate student is not easy. But, being a Baldwin and having Baldwin friends makes life better (and funnier). Feel free to contact with with any questions about Duke, Law School, Brazil, or Latin American Politics.
