Danielle Beckerman

Danielle Beckerman

Hi everyone, I'm Dani Beckerman! I currently reside in sunny Florida and am thoroughly enjoying making fun of my parents for being retired. I am a double major in Economics and Public Policy Studies with a potential minor in Art History. Last year I served on the PPS Major's Union. I was a member of the Duke Women's Varsity Rowing team for my freshman and sophomore year, but have decided to make the switch to Duke Waterpolo. I spent the summer after my freshman year researching/ taking pictures of Great White Sharks with the Great White Shark Project in Gansbaai, South Africa. The summer after sophomore year I was a research assistant for the Tobin Project in Cambridge, MA, a think tank focusing on economic regulation, national security studies, risk management studies, and many other fields. This past summer I worked as an analyst for a commercial real estate firm in NYC. My hobbies include photography, ceramics, capoeira, dance, rock climbing, and pretty much anything outdoors. My 5 year plan includes a graduate degree of some sorts (probably a MA in Finance although potentially a JD, MBA, or JD/MBA) and a term with the Peace Corps (hopefully in a french-speaking African country).  Ultimately I would like to work in international capital markets or investment banking. Feel free to contact me about the program or any other enquiries you may have about Duke.
