Hello! My name is Anna, I'm from St. Paul, Minnesota, and I'm majoring in public policy with a minor in German. Outside of the classroom, I am involved in The Chronicle and spend most of my time at the Sanford School of Public Policy. During my freshman year, I participated in the Global Health FOCUS cluster—an experience that provided invaluable mentorship opportunities while sparking an entirely new interest (I highly recommend it!). In 2012, I participated in DukeEngage Wentworth, South Africa during the summer and studied abroad in Berlin, Germany in the fall. I am spending summer 2013 interning in San Francisco, California.
I applied to Baldwin with hopes for a supportive community of women who would push me to be a better version of myself. The program has certainly realized those hopes, although I could not have predicted how influential it would be for me. Baldwin women have encouraged me to confidently pursue my interests, regret nothing, and seize every opportunity.
