Cydney Ross
Hi,
I'm Cydney! I'm 19 years old and I was born in raised in St. Louis, MO (from the MIdwest and I'm proud). I have 2 younger brothers, one who will be a freshman in colege next year and another who will be beginning his sophomore year of high school. My parents are Baron Ross and Patricia Walls, and I love them and mis them so much. I just finished my freshman year here at Duke and I absolutely loved it. My life at Duke is pretty simple. I am a student-athlete so that means that I'm a student and athlete and in the free time that I have, I like to do things for Baldwin. I'm a member of the Varsity
Track and Field team and I finished my freshman year with one school record!
I love a lot of things in life, but if I had to pick a top 3 it would be:
1. Running- Since I've been running since the 6th grade, I can't imagine my life without track
2. Social justice causes- I love learning about and getting involved with different causes. Last summer I spent 5 weeks working for the Obama campaign as a community organizer and registered hundreds of people to vote!
3. Family and friends- So I guess this is really 3 and a half...but friends really are like family! At all of my favorite memories, I am surrounded by people that I love and respect and I feel that life is so much fuller with these people. This is probably one of the many reasons I love Baldwin because it's a close-knit group of girls that I know that I can trust and will always be there for me.
