Associate director of undergraduate admissions
Stacy Scarfutti Rusak grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before heading south for college. After earning a degree in Biology at NC State, Stacy returned to Pittsburgh and began her career in Admissions at Carnegie Mellon University. In 1996, she returned to the Triangle with husband, Eric, and began work at Duke in the Law School Admissions Office. After a quick stay, she joined the Undergraduate Admissions staff in 1997 and has remained there happily ever since. Through Judicial Affairs, she also serves as a Disciplinary Advisor to Duke undergraduates. She has two children - future Baldwin Scholar Alexandra and Sam - and resides in Raleigh. Spare time activities include playgrounds and parks, boating on Lake Jordan, running (by herself and after her kids), family vacations, baking and volunteering at Sam and Alex's schools.
She loves the Baldwin program because it helps talented young women realize their leadership potential. Duke is a transformative place and the Baldwin program builds on Duke's culture through mentorship and experiential opportunities.
